When you log in to the Student Pay app, you may be required to provide your phone number and password.

We do not normally ask you to manually enter other personal information because necessary student information may be retrieved securely from the respective educational institution's central database through API integration.

When you use our payment services, we may receive and store limited information necessary for payment processing, reporting, customer support, and financial auditing, such as:

For security and abuse-prevention purposes, access to our services may sometimes be restricted or monitored based on factors such as location, network, or other security-related indicators.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Location Use for Attendance Verification

If the Student Pay app provides an attendance feature for your institution, the app may request access to your current location when attendance verification is required.

Location access is used only to determine whether you are physically present within an approved attendance area, such as a school, college, office, or institution campus.

Your precise latitude and longitude may be processed locally on your device to calculate the distance from the approved attendance location. We do not store your precise location coordinates or send your precise latitude and longitude to our server for attendance verification.

After the local verification is completed, the app may send only the attendance result, such as whether attendance was allowed or completed, together with the relevant account or attendance record.

Location permission is requested only when required for attendance verification while you are using the relevant feature. We do not access your location in the background and do not continuously track your location.

Account Deletion

Student Pay accounts are generally linked to the student's records maintained by the respective educational institution.

If a student completes their studies or leaves the institution, their account may be deactivated or removed according to the institution's applicable policy.

If a student wishes to request deletion of their profile/account, they may contact the respective educational institution or submit an account deletion request through the available support channel. The request may be reviewed and verified before processing.

Because Student Pay may be used as an institution's payment collection and financial reporting system, certain transaction or financial records may need to be retained where required for legal, regulatory, accounting, audit, or institutional purposes.

What Happens When an Account Is Deleted?

When an account deletion request is approved:

Personal profile information
Login credentials
Other account information that is not required to be retained

Data that may be retained:

Payment and transaction records
Invoice records
Financial or accounting records
Records required for legal, regulatory, audit, or institutional compliance

Account deletion does not necessarily mean that all historical financial or transaction records can be permanently removed where retention is required for legitimate legal, financial, accounting, audit, or institutional purposes.

Where required, the educational institution or authorized representative is responsible for providing appropriate authorization and managing student information in accordance with applicable requirements.

Third-Party Services

Student Pay may integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, authentication services, hosting providers, API services, and other technology providers necessary to operate the platform.

Such third parties may process information only as necessary to provide their respective services and may have their own privacy policies and terms.
